PEDRITO’S FRIED CHICKEN main branch or retail store is located at Polomolok, South Cotabato, and its warehouse is located at Barangay Conel, General Santos City. The office address is at Door 1, Daproza Building, Daproza Avenue, General Santos City. The business provides affordable yet tasty fried chicken and balbacua (beef soup) to the community.

It has fourteen (14) employees at the warehouse, two (2) employees at the office and eleven (11) employees at the retail store.

The company started the fried chicken business last 2006 at Narciso St., Surigao City and was first named as Gayang’sKwek-Prayd. In 2011 it moved to Toril Public Market in Davao City and the business was named Frito Pedrito. A friend also opened his kiosk in Mintal Public Market, Davao City and became our first retailer. With no much success due to some circumstances beyond control, the owner Dennis Parreno decided to come back to General Santos City and worked part-time with an advertising companyowned by a friend.

Sometime in November 2012 he had a project (installing signages)in one of the department stores in Kidapawan City, North Cotabato. Infrontof the department store was a fried chicken business that sold like hot cakes. It was so fast selling that he thought of offering his fried chicken premix to them. But he was rejected. The neighbour, a carenderia owner had been praying that they would someday have a fried chicken business too. So when Dennis came they immediately accepted the business offered to them. Having experienced some financial setbacks, Dennis has only 2,500 pesos on his pocket to start the business. He was only able to buy the fried chicken premix and the carenderia owner provided the rest. And on December 19, 2012 the first full store outlet was opened. It was then the business was registered as Pedrito’s Fried Chicken.

The success of the first outlet was overwhelming. He was able to grab 50% of the competitor’s customers in just a month. It was so successful that a friend (of the owner of the first outlet), a respectable businessman in the city was convinced to set up also his own fried chicken business inside his grocery store in Kidapawan City and a branch in Kabacan, North Cotabato in February 2013. In April of the same year Pikit, North Cotabato outlet was opened andKoronadal City, South Cotabato in August 2013. Mr.Parreno decided to open his own outlet in Polomolok, South Cotabato last September 5, 2013. Success was so great it was like wild fire that it spread throughout the whole SOCCSKSARGENRegion (Region XII) in just one year of operation.

To date there are 37 outlets in operation and 7 outlets more that are under renovation.
